Spring, Happy Spring! - Seasonal Blog Hop

Welcome back to •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Blog Hop.  This time around we are sharing all things inspired by Spring!   It seems winter here really hit hard in February so hopefully it's on its way out and the warmer weather is coming! There are some great products in the Seasonal Expression that surely will put a hop in your crafting!

If you've arrived from Sheena's blog, you're on the right path! Remember, the blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. Get lost, not to worry as you'll find the complete list here.

Do you have a card stash? Or do you simply make cards as you need them? I stumbled across a Pinterest board chalked full of card ideas ... and I was off to create!

First off, I had to re-create this one which is featured in the Seasonal Expressions catalog.  I love this stamp set - Stuck on You & coordinating Thin Cuts.  For the most part, they are the same but I tweaked it with a piece of Pear cardstock. I used the stitch guide to pierce the White Daisy cardstock all the way around. The cactus and flower images are water colored and the pots are stamped.  Too cute!

The next two are also using a new stamp set & coordinating Thin Cuts - Springtime Wishes. This one is great because you can build clusters of floral arrangements or just use a few single images.

The first one is rather simple with a few pieces of Zoe pattern paper, a sentiment and flower/foliage stamped, thin cut and water colored.  The second is a floral wreath made up of various thin cut images all colored with Prismacolor pencils and blurred with Taltine odorless solvent. I haven't played with these for quite some time. And, then stamped with a sentiment.

Finally, I decided to also make a few 3x3 cards as well. Here, I used a few different stamps sets, paper and ink to create fun little cards.

And, that's a wrap! Thank you for stopping by ... now it's time to head on over to Diane's blog to see her artwork! Be sure to visit again in May for our next one!

Love is in the Air! - Seasonal Blog Hop

Hello and Happy New Year!  Welcome to another •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Blog Hop.  This time the creativity is inspired by National Papercrafting Month, Beloved Bouquet ~January's stamp of the month or my fave Valentine's Day. Bonus, new products too!  You'll see fun and simple things to make ... so enjoy!

If you've arrived from Julie's blog, you're on the right path! Remember, the blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. Get lost, not to worry as you'll find the complete list here.

The holidays are not over fast enough before those shelves are filled right up with all things Valentine's! What could be more perfect than to make something sweet for someone you care about? Or perhaps something special for yourself? No matter who you are creating for, this is the perfect way to get you started!

I created a layout this time around ... it's not often a single page but I was pressed for time. I was feeling hearts though ... and lots of them!  I am all for simple so I literally threw together pieces of cardstock along with pattern paper. No inking or stamping.  And, for the most part, I tend to use one of the My Reflections paper packs since it's all coordinated for you however, I had a few single sheets each of the new collections from the NEW Seasonal Expressions I in front of me and thought what the heck!

Anyways, here's another look ...

I am loving the ombre sheet from the Regatta collection. It's pretty as a full sheet on its own yet here it's all the hearts! And the arrow pattern is from the Charlotte collection.  I am so LOVING this catalog!  Well now, it's time to stop on over at Diana's blog.  Thanks for stopping on by and hope you join me again for the next blog hop 'Spring is in the Air'!

All things Holiday! ~ Seasonal Blog Hop

Hello again! It's time for another •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Blog Hop. If you've arrived from Pam's blog, you are on the right path! Remember, the blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. Get lost, not to worry as you'll find the complete list here.

Despite the weather being atypical, although I am highly enjoying this burst of warmness, have you noticed the festive season is upon us? It hit me when I heard the sounds of holiday music in a retail shop. To be honest, it's a bit too early for me ... our festiveness commences December 1st. However, I must admit I {love me} some of those fun limited-time flavoured drinks ... you know the ones in the red cups! What's your favorite? Speaking of red cups, there's apparently a new red cup, minimal this year, with an ombre effect. Have you seen it?  PRETTY, right!

And, just like that we are moving onto {all things holidays}! As the holidays approach, with all good intentions, I hope to be better organized.  With that said, it's been on my 'to-do' list to make gift tags. Loving {all things handmade}, I dislike the thought that gift tags are one of those things that usually get thrown away. And so, I kept these very minimal and of course effortless! Bonus, they are quick to mass produce.

Without further adieu ...

The color inspiration came from the White Pines paper collection ~ champagne, chocolate, colonial white, cranberry, fern and glacier.  I {heart} the pop of blue! The tags were cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, specifically <Tag4> at 2 1/2" on White Daisy cardstock. Simply select Auto Fill and away you go!

To stamp, I used Festive Trees (B1493) & Joyful Garland (B1489) and are Hostess Rewards exclusives! Did you know, our hostess-only stamp sets are one of the many ways we say 'thanks' to you for hosting a Gathering? These are just two of the three, available through December 2015, in the Holiday Expressions. Plus, there are others featured in the Annual Inspirations. Each stamp set can only be purchased with credits earned from your Gathering. And, each set comes at a great discount, which stretches your select product credit even further!

Got scraps? Here's another great way to use them ... and don't forget that zip strip along the top of those 12x12 papers! And, finish them off with inexpensive twine.  Now all they need is the personal touch of TO: & FROM: and these gift tags are perfect to add to any gift giving!

Well, thanks again for hopping on over.  It's that time to move on and visit Diana's blog. Hope you come on back in the New Year where we will be sharing artwork for National Papercrafting month and/or Valentine's.

Make It Crafty - Seasonal Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome back to another year of •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Blog Hop! This month we will be featuring Fall creations, such as Thanksgiving and/or Halloween.

If you've arrived from Pam's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. Get lost, not to worry as you'll find the complete list here.

Autumn has always been my FAVE ... it's really the best season! First of all, who doesn't love fall festivities? Aside from getting back to routine, the season for me begins with apple picking, then Thanksgiving and of course Halloween. These are great times to spend with family & friends and enjoy delicious eats & drinks paired with making memories. Second, it's such a beautiful time with the colors changing.  It's like seeing a wide spectrum of color with the reds, bright oranges, yellows, greens and purples. It's worth a walk in the woods while enjoying the cool crisp air.  Finally, if you {heart} football ... well then it may be your number one reason to love this time of year! So whatever your WHY is for loving fall, I hope you enjoy this month's blog hop as we share creations to inspire you for the season!

For my project, I thought I would create a Halloween layout. It seems it's one of the few moments that I typically don't scrapbook. I think I just find rather difficult ... so I thought I would challenge myself using the Nevermore collection. It's such a pretty color palette that includes black, eggplant, pear, slate, sunset and whisper.  I find it rather unique! I kept the layout simple, which makes it easy to re-create.

I really like the gray as a neutral paired with a pop of color from the eggplant, which is one of the new colors in the Enchantment collection ... in case you didn't know. Oh, the stripes are simply cut from one of the patterned papers.  And, love how the burst of orange just adds that hint of traditional Halloween color.

I have a LOVE for pennants, if you remember! To add some interest, I cut out pennants and then covered them with the Sunset Chevron washi tape, which is still available here.  I didn't have the Nevermore Complements so I opted to use the stamp set Magic Potions, which coordinates with the Cricut Artiste cartridge. While I was prepping the word labels, I also cut a spider web on black cardstock to layer and add dimension on the left page. Naturally, to finish each embellishment cluster, I added a few of the Nevermore Assortment. Oh so cute! And, couldn't forget the journaling box on the right! It all came together quite nicely, don't you think?

Well, thanks again for following along today! I hope you've enjoyed all the fabulous artwork. Now it's time to head on over to Emma's blog and take a peek.  Be sure to visit each Consultant at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas! And, remember to come on back early November and look for our next Blog Hop where we will feature Holiday/Christmas projects. See you soon!

Easter & Spring Creations - Seasonal Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to another •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Seasonal Blog Hop! This month it's all about Easter & Spring projects. All of the artwork is using Close to my Heart products from the Annual Inspirations catalog along with the Seasonal Expressions I. However, note that Seasonal Expressions product is only available to the end of March ... so be sure to grab your faves! Anyways, hope you are inspired to create ....

And, don't worry if you get lost, you'll find the complete list of participating Close to my Heart consultants HERE.

Ok, this time around was a challenge in finding my mojo ... I just could not get the creative juices flowing to inspire me.  Perhaps, I just wasn't feeling 'spring-like' as the bitter cold is still lingering around  ... yucky weather ... where's the sunshine? ANYWHO ... here's the end result!

Now since Easter is just a few weeks away, I thought this would be perfect! It's not that often I have a layout ready to go ... but my boys love {coloring easter eggs}!  Here, I used Hopscotch paper packet from the Seasonal Expressions catalog and cut various sizes of pennants and layered them.  And for the banner, I cut a few pieces of the pattern paper, folded each one over and adhered it to the hemp cord. I am loving single page layouts these days ... how about you?

To embellish, I tried to use up items from my stash this time ... like buttons and alphabet letters. For the heart, I grabbed it from the Chalk it up Assortment. It's great to mix and match collections. And I have to admit, I'm pretty happy on how it all came together despite my procrastination!

Well, thanks so much for following along today! Now pop on over to Diana's blog {Farmer Di Stamps} And, be sure to come on back for the next Blog Hop featuring Travel, Cottage & Summer Creations.  Ah, YES the thought of warmer weather!

Christmas & Winter Creations - Seasonal Blog Hop

It's the most wonderful time of year!!!!! Hello and welcome to another •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Seasonal Blog Hop! You can check out the last one here, if you like.

If you just hopped onto my blog, you can start here and work your way around as this hop is circular. If you arrived from Diana's blog {Farmer Di Stamps}, then you are on the right path. And, don't worry if you get lost, you'll find the complete list of participating Close to my Heart consultants HERE.

This month we are showcasing Christmas/Winter projects.  All of the artwork is using Close to my Heart products from the Annual Inspirations catalog.  Hope you are inspired to create something FESTIVE!!!

Are you a Pinterest junkie? I can easily spend an endless amount of time {pinning} to 'CASE' various artwork creations. For this project, I wanted to recreate Brenda's (aka Skrapaddict's) layout ~ Christmas morning.

I just {heart} the non-traditional colours featured in the Snowhaven paper packet.  The palette is Black, Cranberry, Glacier, Whisper and White Daisy.

The layout came together rather quickly.  It uses one sheet of the B&T Duos, the first shown above, and a few pieces of cardstock. If you hadn't noticed, the pennant strips are also from that same sheet. To save a little paper, I decided to cut out a slightly smaller sized piece of the pattern paper where the Glacier cardstock was going to be placed and then use it for the pennants.  And to sturdy up the layout, I mounted the now cut B&T Duo onto Black cardstock.

Not sure how to use that extra strip along the edge of the B&T Duos? Here, I used it to highlight the title of the layout.  As I stamped the word 'morning', I didn't want the strip to cover it up so I cut around the 'g' to lift the cardstock and slide the strip underneath.

Well, it's time to now hop on over to Dominique's blog {FUN2CRE8}. Thanks so much for following along today! Be sure to come on back for the next Blog Hop featuring CARDS and Valentine Creations.

Wintery Wishes!
